While working I like to listen to music and discover new stuff as I go. Spotify is great for this as it autoplays related music when it gets to the end of a playlist. I use this feature to start building a playlist with music I like and then build it up from the recommended music I feel goes well with the playlist.

Anyway! This is one of the playlists I’ve built and listen to to while I work. It’s based around three songs from the artist Zach Deputy, hence the name ‘Didn’t shoot the Deputy’. Thought I’d share it because why not? I’ll share more playlists I’ve built in the future too!

I posted about a 3d project I’d started earlier, but I’m also working on a game dev project called Aether Story along with a group of friends. the game is a 2d retro mmorpg based on old classics such as Final fantasy, Chrono Trigger and Star Ocean with the twist of being able to play through the game cooperatively online.

The above image is an example of a map/level I am working on which is deep within a forest. It’s very early stages yet and there’s much more detail to be added such as foliage, flowers, trees etc I hope to show off more of the level as I create it!

What!? I’m actually working on a project!? Well, I’m also working on a game dev project called Aether Story, but that’s for a future post!

So what exactly is ‘Project DP’? All I’ll say is it isn’t game dev related and involves animation. It is the biggest thing I could have chosen as my first proper 3d animation project! However I will start small with the environment, making modular 3d assets I can use to populate the town and environment.

Once I have created my first set of assets I will post them here and talk more about the style I am going for! So look forward to that!
